ou just can't afford not knowing the breast cancer risk factors if you would like to be aware and manage them. Although, having risk factors does not mean that you have any breast cancer and having no risk factors could lead to develop a breast cancer. Whaaahhh!!!!

Image Reading about medical revues and site, let's summarize these risk factors as divided in 'controllable ' and 'uncontrollable' risk factors.

Risk reducing

The following steps can reduce risk of breast cancer.
- Reducing daily alcohol intake.

- Estrogen and other hormone replacement therapy for longer duration.
- Controlling over weight and maintaining healthy weight.

Risk uncontrolled

Some of the following are also treated as risk factors, but we do not have control in these risk factors.
- Older age increases the risk of breast cancer.
- Family history of risk cancer increases the risk of breast cancer.
- Had breast cancer earlier.
- Started periods before the age of 12 years or started menopause after the age of 55 years.
