All mothers know that baby is not a vegetative being, unable to understand and to react. Baby organizes its experiences, is "skilled" and discovers the world through the awakening of moving in diferrents sides and directions.

Baby feels all the affection you give to him succeeding to his first words and disorderly gestures the first stages of life are also the most important ones that largely can prompt his personality. Baby already is an adult to become.

The newborn during the firsts six first months lives essentially thanks to his mother. After this period, he opens his sense to discover the world by vision, hearing, smelling, tasting and touch. Long time considered as a blind person experiences have made obvious a sensitiveness to light as early as the seventh month of pregnancy, before the birth. Although imperfect, newborn's vision is source of exploration of the new world. On hand baby can perceive and on the other hand baby can express the way he looks in relation of to his environment.

Before your baby is born and even though you cannot see him, you can already tell some things about the baby growing inside you.
What kind of sound or music does your baby like? What doesn't he like? How do you know that? How does your baby respond when you rub your abdomen? Do these or other behaviors remind you of anyone else in your family?
After the birth  you will be able to clearly see his reaction. He will let you know if what you are doing responds to his needs. For example, if his body relaxes and he looks content, what you are doing is right for that moment. Very quickly you will get to know your baby's style and rhythms.
